King and Queen of Hearts
Let us start off with a classic couples costume. If you are single, these are fun as well. Whether you want to be the Queen of hearts from Alice in Wonderland, or take things more literally as a face card, there are many options. From fun face paint to tight outfits, to even card shaped full costumes, there are many ways to go with this one.
Poker Chip
Have kids? Dress them up as your poker chips, or yourself if you are feeling up to it. This allows for a large variety of colors and values.
Poker Face
An awesome makeup look for Halloween is the poker face. The best rendition of this is often a clean base, with a club outline over one eye, a diamond over the other, a spade on the nose and a heart over the mouth. Finish off with a fun catsuit or suit as an outfit! A Lady Gaga costume from her “Poker Face” video receives a special mention here.
The Dealer
This is often seen as a women’s costume, but there are a few routes to go with this idea. A poker table as a three dimensional skirt is fun and can also serve as a drink holder. Men can participate as well. A dealer’s vest covered in tokens or face cards can go a long way.
A Joker
There are two ways to go with this costume. The iconic Batman joker is always a great and recognizable costume, and there have been so many jokers throughout the years. There is also the joker card.
